CORRELACIÓN CLÍNICO - RADIOLÓGICA EN LA ESTADIFICACION DE LA OSTEONECROSIS MAXILAR POR BIFOSFONATOS

Objetivos
Los objetivos de nuestro trabajo son:
1. Estudio de la prevalencia de los estadios radiológicos descritos por nuestro grupo en nuestra serie.
2. Determinar si existe correlación entre los estadios clínicos de la clasificación vigente de la AAOMS y los estadios radiológicos establecidos por nuestro grupo en nuestra serie.
Material y métodos
Se han revisado de forma retrospectiva los hallazgos en TC en 32 pacientes con sospecha de osteonecrosis secundaria a tratamiento por bifosfonatos.
Los pacientes fueron remitidos desde el servicio de cirugía maxilofacial entre enero de 2009 y octubre de 2015, debiendo cumplir los siguientes criterios:
1) Pacientes en tratamiento actual o con antecedentes de tratamiento por BF.
2) Pacientes con hueso expuesto necrótico en zona maxilar o mandibular de más de ocho semanas de evolución o pacientes que presentan dolor o tumefacción en región mandibular o maxilar sin exposición ósea.
3) Pacientes sin antecedentes de radioterapia en región maxilo-facial.
