Resumen

Objetivos
Valorar la contribución de la 11C-Metionina-PET en el manejo de los pacientes tratados de gliomas en la diferenciación precoz entre recurrencia tumoral vs radionecrosis.

Material y métodos
Treinta pacientes diagnosticados de glioma de alto grado tratados con cirugía+radioterapia+quimioterapia (5-18 meses) con hallazgos RM indeterminados a los que se efectuó 11C-Metionina PET (<15 días).
Análisis visual de 11C-Metionina-PET: grado de intensidad y morfología de captación. Cálculo de relación SUVmáximo delesión y SUVmedio del lóbulo contralateral (L/F). Fusión PET/RM por software (SPM8) tras efectuar secuencia T1-3D en la misma sesión.
El manejo de los pacientes se decidió en el comité de neuro-oncología: seguimiento clínico-imagen, tratamiento de segunda línea o cirugía.
