CARACTERÍSTICAS ECOGRÁFICAS DE GANGLIOS AXILARES EN PACIENTES CON CÁNCER DE MAMA:
CORRELACIÓN RADIO-PATOLÓGICA.

Objetivos
• Analizar la correlación existente entre las características ecográficas de ganglios axilares, siguiendo la clasificación de Bedi, en pacientes con cáncer de mama y los hallazgos histológicos.
• Reproducibilidad del estudio ACOSOG Z0011 en nuestra muestra.
Material y métodos
Hemos realizado un estudio retrospectivo de pacientes diagnosticadas de carcinoma de mama entre Enero de 2013 y Enero de 2014. Durante este periodo se diagnosticaron en nuestra unidad 96 nuevos cánceres, cuyos datos fueron obtenidos del PACS del hospital.
Se efectuó mamografía digital (doble proyección) y ecografía mamaria y axilar bilateral a todas las pacientes con sospecha clínica y/o radiológica de carcinoma derivadas a la unidad.
El estudio ecográfico se realizó con un ecógrafo de alta resolución modelo Antares (Siemens®, Erlangen, Alemania) y sonda lineal multifrecuencia de 15-5 MHz, con la paciente en decúbito supino o apoyada sobre el lado contralateral al que deseamos estudiar y ambos brazos elevados hacia la cabeza.
