Resumen

Objetivos Docentes
Proponer un protocolo de estudio que minimize la dependencia del operador en el uso de la elastografía compresiva en los tumores subcutáneos.
Exponer las limitaciones geberales de la elastografía compresiva en la valoración de los tumores subcutáneos.
Describir los artefactos más frecuentemente encontrados en la práctica clínica en estos tumores.
Proporcionar trucos prácticos para reconocer y minimizar los artefactos y limitaciones de la técnica.

Revisión del tema
La elasticidad designa la propiedad mecánica de ciertos materiales de sufrir deformaciones reversibles cuando se encuentran sujetos a la acción de fuerzas exteriores y de recuperar la forma original cuando cesan dichas fuerzas. La elastografía es una nueva técnica que permite evaluar de forma objetiva la elasticidad tisular.
