Objetivos
Nuestro objetivo es validar la utilización de dispositivos portátiles tipo Ipad en el diagnóstico del ictus agudo. En los últimos años, asistimos a un incremento en el uso de los dispositivos electrónicos portátiles en el área médica (1,2) que siguen siendo objeto de trabajos e investigaciones actuales su capacidad para mostrar una imagen de calidad suficiente para permitir diagnósticos radiológicos con buena precisión (3-14). Las tabletas permiten visualizar imágenes radiológicas DICOM e interpretarlas, incorporando herramientas básicas de post-procesado.Son una herramienta útil en el campo de la teleconsulta de emergencia para el diagnóstico en imagen y ya existen estudios que demuestran la fiabilidad de las lecturas en estos dispositivos, principalmente en el ámbito de urgencias (8,9, 11-13), en sospecha de TEP (10, 14) y en el ictus (7, 14).
Especialmente en el ictus agudo es importante obtener un diagnóstico radiológico de manera certera, eficaz y eficiente, ya que el tiempo modifica los criterios de actuación. Es imprescindible realizar estudios de imagen, como la TC-craneal basal (sin contraste intravenoso (TC), y la AngioTC craneal (AngioTC). En el contexto socio-sanitario actual, muchos centros no disponen de radiólogos de presencia física las 24 horas del día, y cada vez se implementan más sistemas de tele-radiología.
