INTRODUCCIÓN
- Diversos estudios en los últimos 10 años proponen utilizar la TC de cuerpo completo ( al ingreso del paciente politraumatizado
• TC sin civ de cerebro y columna cervical
• TC tórax, abdomen y pelvis en una o varias fases
VENTAJAS
- Disminución del retraso en el diagnóstico de las lesiones más graves
- Detección de lesiones ocultas a los métodos más convencionales ATLS
- Mayor supervivencia que la atención estándar
- Disminución del tiempo de estancia en UCI y de hospitalización
