Objetivos Docentes
Conocer la anatomía de la región gástrica, ya que la diseminación locorregional de los tumores ocurre a través de los nervios, vasos y linfáticos que discurren por los ligamentos perigástricos.
Reconocer las características radiológicas más específicas para los diferentes tipos de tumores gástricos, haciendo hincapié en la importancia de hacer un informe bien estructurado del compromiso parietal ( T ), la diseminación locorregional ( N ) y metástasis a distancia ( M ).

GENERALIDADES DE LOS TUMORES GÁSTRICOS
La mayoría son T. malignos. El 90-95 % son Adenocarcinomas, y el resto son Linfomas NH, GIST y tumores carcinoides.
El cáncer gástrico es el 4° mas frecuente en el mundo, siendo la cirugía la primera línea de tratamiento.
Los benignos son poco frecuentes: pólipos adenomatosos o hiperplásicos.
Adenocarcinoma del cardias y esófago distal ha aumentado su incidencia a cerca de 40%.
El 80% son asintomáticos.
