Objetivos Docentes
• Revisar las peculiaridades (técnica quirúrgica) del trasplante hepático en niños para una correcta valoración del injerto
• Ilustrar los cambios postoperatorios normales del hígado trasplantado
• Describir los hallazgos radiológicos clave de las principales complicaciones del injerto hepático pediátrico
Revisión del tema
El trasplante hepático en niños difiere de los adultos en varios aspectos. Las características hemodinámicas de los niños varían con la edad y la técnica quirúrgica de trasplante hepático
parcial se utiliza con más frecuencia.
La ecografía es la técnica de imagen inicial de elección para la detección y el seguimiento de las complicaciones en niños. La TC y la RM se utilizan en casos concretos.
