OBJETIVOS DOCENTES
1 . Conocer las principales complicaciones de la colonoscopia así como aquellas menos frecuentes que pueden llegar a comprometer la vida del paciente, sino existe un alto índice de sospecha de las mismas.
2. Describir sus principales hallazgos radiológicos y sus posibles pautas de tratamiento.

INTRODUCCION.
El cáncer colorrectal es la segunda causa de muerte relacionada con cáncer en los Estados Unidos y Canadá (1). La colonoscopia es un procedimiento comúnmente realizado para el diagnóstico y tratamiento de muchas de las enfermedades del colon, siendo una de sus principales indicaciones el screening y la vigilancia de la neoplasia colorrectal.
