Objetivos
INTRODUCCIÓN
Actualmente el radiólogo especialista en mama ha adquirido nuevas responsabilidades que van desde la detección precoz del cáncer de mama hasta su diagnóstico histológico. La biopsia escisional o arpón ha sido tradicionalmente la técnica de confirmación diagnóstica. Paralelamente se han desarrollado nuevos procedimientos intervencionistas con el objetivo de conseguir un diagnóstico anatomopatológico preciso sin necesidad de recurrir a la cirugía.
Material y métodos
Se trata de un estudio observacional, retrospectivo, de tipo analítico realizado sobre 997 biopsias de 804 lesiones sospechosas de malignidad en 761 pacientes.
