Objetivos Docentes
Describrir los hallazgos arteriográficos y el tratamiento endovascular aplicado en varios casos de rotura de pseudoaneurisma visceral que debutaron con shock hemorrágico por sangrado abdominal, en los que conseguimos eficazmente su control sin complicaciones secundarias.
Revisión del tema
Los pseudoaneurismas viscerales son una complicación de procesos inflamatorios abdominales, infecciones, cirugías y de los cada vez más frecuentes procedimientos percutáneos. Su
rotura puede ocasionar un sangrado abdominal de riesgo vital que precisa de tratamiento urgente. El abordaje quirúrgico en estos pacientes tiene una alta tasa de mortalidad (5-25%), tanto por el proceso en sí mismo, como por comorbilidades. El tratamiento endovascular se perfila como una técnica emergente, poco invasiva, segura y eficaz.
