Objetivos Docentes
El pronóstico de los pacientes con enfermedad de Hodgkin ha mejorado significativamente en los últimos 50 años gracias al empleo de radioterapia y quimioterapia.
Sin embrago, el seguimiento a largo plazo de los supervivientes ha demostrado un incremento en la aparición de segundas neoplasias.
Revisión del tema
El cáncer de mama que se produce en las mujeres supervivientes de la enfermedad de Hodgkin se debe fundamentalmente al empleo de radioterapia supradiafragmática (SDI) que recibieron como parte del tratamiento para superar la enfermedad primaria.
