Resumen

Objetivos Docentes
Describir los hallazgos por imagen de las complicaciones secundarias a colecistectomía laparoscópica y abierta. Resaltar sus hallazgos diagnósticos clave y mostrar las posibles fuentes del error. Revisar el manejo de las mismas. Proponer un diagnóstico diferencial racional en función de los hallazgos clínico-radiológicos.

Revisión del tema
La colecistectomía es uno de los procedimientos quirúrgicos más realizados a nivel mundial y actualmente su realización está en aumento. Las indicaciones para la extirpación de la vesícula son múltiples, pero el principal motivo, sin duda, es el tratamiento de las colelitiasis sintomáticas.
Clásicamente la colecistectomía se realizaba a través cirugía abierta desde hace prácticamente un siglo, pero con el desarrollo de las técnicas laparoscópicas desde los años 80, a día de hoy se realizan por esta vía algo más del 90% de estos procedimientos.
